Well folks! Since I'm not yet able to walk the Camino Francis I'm walking my Camino through Breast Cancer. My hope is too walk this journey right through to Spain and the Camino de Santiago! So follow along if you'd like.
Life is my Camino for now! Ultreia!
5.6.17 Well. Results of CT scan 5.3.17. Radiologist read scan and thinks the "scar tissue" on right scar cancer side is actually cancerous. Also, 3 nodules in right upper lobe lung 8mm thought not to be scar tissue from Radiation. You know the drill. Biopsy. And if positive then surgical consult and put Port back in and start chemo. I'm in a sort of haze. I want to cry but can't. I WILL live!!!! BRING IT ON!!!! But OMG. Right?
5.12.17
Update. April 5, 2017 I am 1 year from DMX. Finished Radiation October 31, 2016. Finished Herceptin December 2, 2016. My pain on right scapula area and right chest wall like a bad bruise that won't go away for at least 6 months. Had CT last week and Rads Oncologist ordered biopsy on right cancer side scar. CT also showed 3 nodules on right lung. Radiologist said some people don't have pain or their pain goes away and some people have pain that will never go away. I will get pathology for biopsy in about 5 days. He also said right lung nodules don't look round and could be infectious process which they don't treat. It supposed to go away on it's own. But it is undistinguishable from disease. Just wait and watch and CT again in 3-6 months. So don't know how to feel. Counting my blessings!
